About

Hello, my name is Shaun Hinton and I'm based in the picturesque Port town of Felixstowe, Suffolk.

My artistic journey has deep roots in the comic books of the 1970s West Bromwich, where I worked as a paperboy and had access to a treasure trove of illustrated adventures. These early influences have shaped my quirky, fanciful style of art.

Despite receiving a less-than-stellar grade in Art at 15, (The big D) I didn't embark on my artistic path until my mid-50s. For this, I owe immense gratitude to the Felixstowe Art Group and Rik Saggers, who inspired and empowered me to begin exhibiting my work across Suffolk.

My primary mediums are watercolour and ink, and I specialize in capturing urban scenes. However, I'm not afraid to experiment with other mediums to achieve a different perspective.

If you'd like to see my original works, please check out the events page on my website. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit!
